There is a small amount of background noise. Seemingly unnecessary period of silence included is the exact cause before the next outburst of squeaking. This is a recording i made of a child's toy that had dead batteries in it. The sample playback rate was slowed by the drain of the amplifier. As sounds played back their pitch and sample rate changed depending on the amplitude of the sound. . . Pretty cool effect i figured. . . "man i gotta record that and use it!" so here it is!.
